Why Families Trust Us With Pomona Aggravated Assault Bonds
If the schedule sets money bail for the PC 245 booking, your family can post it now or wait for the arraignment judge. We check the release protocol before you pay.
A Low Down Payment on a Large Bond
At the standard 10% rate, a $30,000 bond costs $3,000. Eligible clients start with a low down payment and a payment plan; veterans and union members may qualify for 8%.
We Handle the Filing and the Jail
Once you sign, our agent files the bond with Pomona City Jail or whichever facility holds your relative. In our experience, release then takes 2-6 hours, a pace each jail sets.
Bilingual Agents for Spanish-Speaking Families
Spanish-speaking relatives can ask for a bilingual agent on the first call. We explain terms such as serious felony and enhancement in plain Spanish, so each cosigner understands the agreement before signing.
Discretion on a Sensitive Charge
We keep your finances and collateral details private and do not discuss the case with employers or neighbors. Our calls to cosigners stick to the bond, its payments and court dates.
Courtesy Without Judgment
Officers write the arrest report, and your relative gets to answer it in court. Through 20+ years and 867+ clients, our agents give each family the same courtesy and plain answers about court.
Aggravated Assault Charges We Post Bonds For
California has no crime named aggravated assault, so police and prosecutors use Penal Code 245. The 2026 county bail schedule lists amounts for most subsections and Magistrate Review for 245(a)(4).
Assault With a Deadly Weapon, PC 245(a)(1)
It covers an assault with a non-firearm deadly weapon or instrument. The 2026 schedule lists $30,000 and a serious felony flag, which rules out zero-dollar release before arraignment, and we can post a bond at that amount after booking.
Force Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury, PC 245(a)(4)
Punches, kicks or other force likely to cause a significant injury fall here. Unless an enhancement or another charge carries money bail, it gets Magistrate Review: a magistrate picks own-recognizance release, non-money conditions or detention until arraignment, with no bond meanwhile.
Assault With a Firearm, PC 245(a)(2) and 245(b)
The 2026 schedule lists $30,000 for assault with a firearm and $75,000 under PC 245(b) when the gun is a semiautomatic. Both count as serious felonies, and a 245(b) conviction means state prison for three, six or nine years.
Assault on a Peace Officer or Firefighter, PC 245(c)
Assaulting an on-duty peace officer or firefighter with a deadly weapon or force likely to cause great bodily injury is PC 245(c), at $50,000. A gun means $100,000 under 245(d)(1), or $200,000 for a semiautomatic.
Great Bodily Injury Enhancement, PC 12022.7
Once officers allege the accused personally inflicted a significant or substantial physical injury, the schedule adds $30,000 and moves a 245(a)(4) booking out of Magistrate Review. If a prosecutor proves it, PC 12022.7(a) adds three consecutive prison years.
Subsections (a)(1), (a)(2) and (a)(4) are wobblers, chargeable either way. A misdemeanor booking goes to Magistrate Review on the 2026 misdemeanor schedule. After a misdemeanor filing or a PC 17(b) reduction, the judge sets release terms.

Three Simple Steps to a Bail Bond
1
Initial Payment
Phone (888) 998-9511 whenever the arrest happens. Once you know the bail amount, you review and sign the agreement, then make a low down payment toward the standard 10% premium.
2
Customized Payment Plan
We split the remaining premium into a written payment schedule built around your budget. A long case adds no second premium, since California outlawed renewal premiums in 2022 (Penal Code 1276.1).
3
Securing Release
A licensed agent files the bond with the jail or station holding your relative. That facility sets its own release pace, and we keep your family posted until your relative walks out.

Aggravated Assault Bail Bond FAQ
We checked these answers in September 2026 against the LA Superior Court's felony bail schedule, the Penal Code and the state constitution. On a warrant arrest, the judge's amount applies.
What is the average bail for aggravated assault?
No average exists; the 2026 schedule works by subsection. Deadly weapon and firearm assaults start at $30,000 before add-ons, a semiautomatic $75,000, and officer or firefighter cases $50,000 to $200,000. Without a money-bail enhancement or charge, force likely to produce great bodily injury gets Magistrate Review.
What crimes can you not bail out of?
California Constitution article I, section 12 lets judges deny bail when strong evidence backs a capital charge. Felonies involving violence, sexual assault or a serious threat qualify when clear and convincing proof shows a substantial likelihood that release brings great bodily harm. LA County bars pre-arraignment release for special-circumstance murder.
How much is bail on a $1000 bond?
Ten percent of $1,000 is $100, a premium you pay one time, with no renewal charge later under California law. A $30,000 deadly weapon booking works out to a $3,000 premium, and eligible families can start with a low down payment.
Do I still need a bail bond under LA County zero bail?
Yes, for most PC 245 subsections. Under the Pre-Arraignment Release Protocol, serious and violent felonies get no $0 bail, so deadly weapon, firearm and officer assaults need money bail before arraignment. Without a money-bail enhancement or charge, a magistrate may release or hold a 245(a)(4) arrestee.
Does bail go down the longer you stay in jail?
No, only a judge lowers it. For a serious felony like assault with a deadly weapon, a reduction needs an open-court hearing under PC 1270.1, held within 48 hours after arrest, Sundays and holidays excluded. Under PC 1275(c), a judge must find unusual circumstances to go below the schedule.
