Patient With First-Time Families

Families new to bail get the basics first. An agent explains the county schedule and the Penal Code 1270.1 hearing in plain words, then takes your questions.

Apply by Phone or Through the Form

You apply by phone or through the site form wherever you are, so a relative at work or home with children can start the bond without leaving.

Updates at Every Step

An agent keeps you updated at each step, from checking the charge to posting the bond. In our experience, release takes 2-6 hours after posting, and we tell you about any delay.

Both Sides of the County Line

Arrests east of the county line, in San Bernardino County, may book into West Valley Detention Center at 9500 Etiwanda Ave, Rancho Cucamonga. We post bonds there and throughout Los Angeles County.

Respectful Contact With You and Your References

Our agents treat you and your references with respect and keep contact free of harassment. A domestic case already strains a household, so we stay polite on each call.

Domestic Violence Charges We Post Bonds For

After police answer a call at a Pomona home, prosecutors can file several charges. Each one below shows its 2026 LA County schedule treatment; our standard premium is 10% of any money bail.

Domestic Battery, PC 243(e)(1)

Battery on a spouse, cohabitant, current or former dating partner or co-parent is a misdemeanor under PC 243(e)(1). The 2026 schedule sets $20,000, and PC 1270.1 blocks $0 release pending an open-court hearing; see misdemeanor bail bonds.

Corporal Injury, PC 273.5

Inflicting injury that leaves a traumatic condition, strangulation included, on a spouse, live-in or dating partner, or co-parent is a felony or misdemeanor. Felony bail is $50,000 ($100,000 after a qualifying prior); misdemeanor bail, $30,000. See felony bail bonds.

Criminal Threats, PC 422

A threat of a crime causing death or great bodily injury that leaves someone in sustained fear falls under PC 422. The felony schedule lists $50,000; the misdemeanor version goes to Magistrate Review, where a judge may release or hold.

Protective Order Violations, PC 273.6

A knowing breach of a protective order is a misdemeanor under PC 273.6; some repeats can be felonies. With threats, violence or a trip to the protected party's home or work, the schedules list $30,000, or $50,000 for a felony.

Stalking, PC 646.9

Repeated following or harassment paired with a credible threat is stalking under PC 646.9. The 2026 schedules set $50,000 as a misdemeanor and $150,000 as a felony, and a PC 1270.1 hearing must come before any lower amount.

Elder or Dependent Adult Abuse, PC 368

Causing unjustifiable pain to someone 65 or older, or a dependent adult, falls under PC 368. Felony abuse goes to Magistrate Review; with a 368(b)(2) great bodily injury allegation, bail is $25,000. A first 368(c) misdemeanor is Cite and Release.

Three Simple Steps to a Bail Bond

1

Initial Payment

Phone (888) 998-9511 whenever the arrest happens. Once you know the bail amount, you review and sign the agreement, then make a low down payment toward the standard 10% premium.

2

Customized Payment Plan

We split the remaining premium into a written payment schedule built around your budget. A long case adds no second premium, since California outlawed renewal premiums in 2022 (Penal Code 1276.1).

3

Securing Release

A licensed agent files the bond with the jail or station holding your relative. That facility sets its own release pace, and we keep your family posted until your relative walks out.

Domestic Violence Bail Bond FAQ

These five answers cover what a Pomona family needs after a domestic violence arrest, from cost to co-signer duties, drawn from the 2026 county schedules and the California Penal Code.

LA County's 2026 schedules list $20,000 for misdemeanor domestic battery and $50,000 for felony corporal injury, or $100,000 after a qualifying prior. Each county's judges set a schedule under PC 1269b, so other counties differ. Our standard 10% premium puts a $50,000 bond at $5,000.

For the charges PC 1270.1 names, yes. It bars own-recognizance release, or bail off the schedule, until a judge holds an open-court hearing with two court days' written notice. The Pre-Arraignment Release Protocol offers no $0 option here: post scheduled bail or wait for that hearing.

Bail of $1,000 means a $100 premium at our standard 10%. A filed 8% rate ($80) may apply if you served in the military, hold a union card or hired a private lawyer. Domestic battery bail runs higher, at $20,000 on the 2026 schedule; our $1,000 bond breakdown has more.

A co-signer promises the defendant will make every court date and covers any loss after a skip; PC 1305 allows 180 days from the mailed forfeiture notice, plus five mailing days, to return them. A PC 136.2 no-contact order binds the defendant and bars firearm ownership while it stands.

If prosecutors dismiss the case, PC 1303 holds the bail for 15 days in case they refile. After that the bond exonerates, or closes out, and collateral goes back under your agreement's terms. The premium does not come back, as a rule, because it paid for the release.
