Why Pomona Families Call Us About West Valley Bonds
East of the county line, your family faces a different sheriff and a different court. Our agents work both sides of that line, so you keep one number to call.
We Work Both LA County and San Bernardino County
The county line runs along most of Pomona's eastern and southern edge, with Montclair and Chino beyond it. We write bonds on both sides, and transfer bonds cover holds that cross it.
Respectful Contact With You and Your References
Cosigners fear an agent who phones their boss or every name on the reference list. We keep calls to you about court dates and payments courteous and extend that courtesy to your references.
Open 24/7, Nights, Weekends and Holidays
The Sheriff takes bail bonds and cash bail at any San Bernardino County jail, 24 hours a day. We answer on the same schedule, holidays included, and start the paperwork once you call.
A Real Person Answers Day or Night
Dial (888) 998-9511 and someone on our team picks up, whatever the hour. You get straight answers on the bail amount and on the request form the Sheriff has agents file.
Licensed California Bail Agents, License in the Footer
The California Department of Insurance licenses bail agents statewide and has regulated bail since 1937. Our license number appears in the footer. We count 867+ clients across 20+ years in business.
How West Valley Detention Center Bail Bonds Work
West Valley Detention Center, or WVDC, is a San Bernardino County Sheriff's jail. Without a warrant, bail on a charge filed in that county follows its countywide schedule.
Address, Phone and Who Runs WVDC
The Sheriff's jail at 9500 Etiwanda Ave, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739, dates from 1991, and its facility phone is (909) 708-8371. Today it has 3,347 beds and processes between 50,000 and 60,000 bookings and releases each year for many different agencies.
Finding Your Relative and the Booking Number
Start with the Sheriff's Inmate Locator on sbcounty.gov. A match shows the housing location and the booking number, which visits and letters both require. Try the name with and without a middle name. If nothing turns up, call the Sheriff's information and bail line, (909) 350-2476.
Which Court Sets Bail East of the County Line
San Bernardino County's Superior Court judges adopt its bail schedule (Penal Code 1269b); the current one took effect January 1, 2026. LA County's schedule and Pre-Arraignment Release Protocol govern the side where Pomona Courthouse South sits. Some WVDC court assignments run by remote video, Fontana and Chino included; the Sheriff transports inmates who must appear in court.
How a Bond Reaches West Valley
WVDC takes a bail bond, cash for the full bail on each charge, or a property bond through the court. Before a visit or bond drop-off, the agent must complete the Bail Agent Request Form, and Sheriff's staff may not name any bonding agency. In our experience, a release follows 2-6 hours after the bond posts.
Visits and Mail
Visits need an appointment the day before, online through the Inmate Locator or on the visiting line, (909) 887-0364; have the booking number ready. Bring a government photo ID and check in 30 minutes ahead; two visitors per inmate. Letters need a plain envelope listing both names, your return address, the booking number and the facility address.
Three Simple Steps to a Bail Bond
1
Initial Payment
Phone (888) 998-9511 whenever the arrest happens. Once you know the bail amount, you review and sign the agreement, then make a low down payment toward the standard 10% premium.
2
Customized Payment Plan
We split the remaining premium into a written payment schedule built around your budget. A long case adds no second premium, since California outlawed renewal premiums in 2022 (Penal Code 1276.1).
3
Securing Release
A licensed agent files the bond with the jail or station holding your relative. That facility sets its own release pace, and we keep your family posted until your relative walks out.
Pomona Neighborhoods We Serve
These Pomona neighborhoods sit in Los Angeles County, yet an arrest east of the line can put a resident in a San Bernardino County jail. We take calls for both situations.

West Valley Jail Bail Bond FAQ
These answers draw on the San Bernardino County Sheriff's pages, Pomona Police, the Penal Code and our own rates. Call (888) 998-9511 with any bond question they leave open.
How Much Is Bail on a $1000 Bond?
On a $1,000 bond you pay a premium: $100 under our standard 10% rate. Our filed 8% rate, $80 here, may apply if the defendant is in a union, has military service or has hired a private lawyer. Paying the jail in cash instead takes the full $1,000.
How Long Do You Stay in Jail If You Can't Pay Bail?
Without bail, they wait in custody for arraignment; Penal Code 825 places it within 48 hours from the arrest, Sundays and holidays excluded. The judge there may set or change bail or grant release on their own recognizance; otherwise custody can continue while the case moves on.
Can I Send Money to Someone at West Valley Detention Center Online?
The Sheriff's corrections page lists no online account deposit. Money goes through lobby kiosks at each county jail, 24/7, which take cash, credit or debit cards, with no personal checks or money orders. From home, you can order commissary items on the iCare website the Sheriff names.
Is It Better to Pay Bail or Bond?
Paying cash fits a family holding the full bail. If every court date is kept, cash that family members put up comes back whole once the case ends, paid within 10 days of a receipt claim (PC 1297). A bond costs a premium; see bail vs bond and cash bail bonds.
Is My Loved One Still at Pomona City Jail or Transferred?
Ask the Pomona Police jail line, (909) 620-2131, whether Pomona City Jail still holds them; for San Bernardino County, search the Sheriff's Inmate Locator. On another county's warrant, they can post the bail written on it; otherwise that county takes custody within five days (Penal Code 821 and 822).
