Why Families Choose Us for Pomona Courthouse South Bail Bonds

Pomona Courthouse South bail bonds stay in force through each hearing until the court ends the bond. Our agents keep your family posted from the first call and explain what comes next.

Timelines Without Promises

Once we file the bond, release in our experience takes 2 to 6 hours. The jail controls posting and release, so we promise no release time. We start work when you call.

Every Dollar Explained

The premium runs 10% of the bail amount, so a $10,000 bail costs $1,000. Your agent explains the premium and each payment term before you sign, and answers every question you ask.

One Premium for the Whole Case

Cases can run for months. Since January 1, 2022, Penal Code 1276.1 bars a second or renewal premium, so the one you agree to covers the bond until the court ends it.

Payment Plans Built Around Your Budget

Clients who qualify make a low down payment, then follow a written schedule for the balance. The filed 8% rate may go to veterans, military members, union members and people with private attorneys.

We Handle the Paperwork and the Jail

Your agent completes the bond forms and files them with the facility holding your relative. For a warrant that carries bail, we can prepare a walk-through bond before the surrender.

How Bail Bonds Work at Pomona Courthouse South

For the basics, see how bail works in Pomona. Families heading to a hearing here need the weekday building hours and the department named on the court paperwork.

Address, Phone and Hours

Pomona Courthouse South is at 400 Civic Center Plaza, Pomona, CA 91766, and its main number is (909) 802-1100. Weekday hours start at 8:00 a.m. for the building and 8:30 a.m. for the Clerk's Office. The day ends at 4:30 p.m. for both, and court holidays are days off.

Only One Pomona Courthouse Listed

Some bail-company sites list a Pomona Courthouse North, but the Los Angeles Superior Court's own directory shows one Pomona courthouse, this South building. Map listings label it Pomona Superior Court, so a search for Pomona Superior Court bail bonds points to this same building. It hears criminal, civil, family law and juvenile cases.

Screening and the 7th Street Lot

Visitors pass through security screening, and the court asks them to allow extra time. Drivers use the public lot on 7th Street, along the courthouse's south side. The court bars weapons, recording devices and cameras without prior authorization, and courtrooms do not permit food or drink.

Rooms and Phone Lines Inside

The court's directory puts the Criminal Clerk's Office in Room 101 on the first floor, phone (909) 802-1199. The District Attorney's adult matters office is in Room 201, the Public Defender lists (909) 868-6400, and a Sheriff's Department office is in Room 705.

The First Appearance

Arraignment is the first court date. Penal Code 825 sets its deadline at 48 hours from the arrest, with Sundays and holidays left out. At that appearance, the judge's bail order replaces the schedule amount (Penal Code 1269b). Some people leave custody sooner under the Pre-Arraignment Release Protocol, so ask us whether you need a bond.

Three Simple Steps to a Bail Bond

1

Initial Payment

Phone (888) 998-9511 whenever the arrest happens. Once you know the bail amount, you review and sign the agreement, then make a low down payment toward the standard 10% premium.

2

Customized Payment Plan

We split the remaining premium into a written payment schedule built around your budget. A long case adds no second premium, since California outlawed renewal premiums in 2022 (Penal Code 1276.1).

3

Securing Release

A licensed agent files the bond with the jail or station holding your relative. That facility sets its own release pace, and we keep your family posted until your relative walks out.

Pomona Courthouse South Bail Bond FAQ

Families ask what the premium costs and how long someone waits in custody without bail. Each answer cites the California statute behind it where one applies.

On $1,000 of bail, the 10% premium is $100, and clients who qualify for the filed 8% rate pay $80. The premium pays for the bond itself. The other $900 is a promise to the court that comes due only if the court forfeits the bond. See our cost guide.

It can last until the case ends, with two checkpoints. Penal Code 825 allows 48 hours from arrest to reach a magistrate, and Sundays and holidays do not count. Penal Code 1270.2 sets an automatic bail review at most five days after the first order, unless the defendant waives it.

Cash bail costs less if you can front it. Under Penal Code 1297, a relative's deposit returns in full after judgment, within 10 days of claiming it, unless a missed date leads to forfeiture. A bond premium is not refundable except under two surrender rules (10 CCR 2090, Penal Code 1300(b)).

Penal Code 1305 gives defendants 180 days from the forfeiture order, plus 5 days if the clerk mails notice, to appear and have the court vacate the forfeiture and exonerate the bond. Besides law enforcement, only a licensed bail fugitive recovery agent may apprehend a fugitive for pay (Penal Code 1299.02).

The court sets the next date, and the defendant must attend each date it requires. The court can forfeit the bond after a missed date (Penal Code 1305). In an indictment or information case, Penal Code 1289 lets the judge raise or lower bail for good cause. See what happens after posting bail.
