Bail Bond Help for Downtown Pomona Families
Pomona's civic center, completed by 1969, groups six buildings, among them a police building and a Superior Court building. Our agents know how booking and the first hearing work for Pomona arrests.
Open Around the Clock, Holidays Included
Arrests do not keep office hours, and our phone does not either. At 3 a.m. on a holiday, dial (888) 998-9511. The Superior Court has magistrates available around the clock, seven days a week, and our line stays open the same way.
A Person Answers When You Call
Call (888) 998-9511 day or night and an agent picks up, ready to take whatever details you have. The agent explains the next step, then answers your questions before you decide anything. Give the person's name and the jail if you know them.
Licensed California Bail Agents
Bail Bonds Pomona works under a California Department of Insurance license, and the number sits in the large footer line of this page. The department lets anyone check a license online, so you can confirm any agent before you sign.
Honest When You Do Not Need a Bond
Los Angeles County releases many low-level arrests at zero bail, through Cite and Release or Book and Release. Our agents check the schedule and say when no bond applies. Magistrate Review differs: a judge decides on release, and no bail exists to cover.
Agents Who Know the Jail and the Courthouse
Pomona City Jail is at 490 W. Mission Blvd., and Pomona Courthouse South is at 400 Civic Center Plaza. We know how each runs. The jail sets the pace, so we describe the steps and promise no clock time.
Not sure a bond applies? Call (888) 998-9511 and an agent will check the charge with you.

Downtown Pomona Bail Bonds for Every Situation
Six charge types follow, each with a link to its full guide. Each starts with the question that matters first: does Los Angeles County release this charge at zero dollars?
Misdemeanor DUI under Vehicle Code 23152 is Book and Release on the 2026 county schedule, so the person needs no bond. Injury, or two or more prior convictions in ten years, means Magistrate Review; great bodily injury to another person carries $100,000 bail.
Simple possession under Health and Safety Code 11350 or 11377, filed as a misdemeanor, is Cite and Release. Possession for sale (11351, 11378) stays Book and Release as a felony, unless an enhancement or supervision status changes that.
Simple assault and simple battery, listed under Penal Code 241 and 243(a), are Book and Release on the misdemeanor schedule, but domestic violence charges differ. A felony 245(a)(1) charge, assault with a deadly weapon, carries $30,000 county bail.
Petty theft under Penal Code 488 is Cite and Release. Shoplifting up to $950 under 459.5 is Book and Release without disqualifying priors. Ordinary grand theft above $950 is a felony Book and Release, while theft of a firearm carries $50,000 bail.
A traffic ticket needs no bond. Vehicle Code 14601, driving with a suspended license, is Cite and Release. For a bench warrant, the judge sets the bail, and a bond can cover that amount and get the person out.
Public intoxication under Penal Code 647(f) is Cite and Release on the misdemeanor schedule, and an officer may let an intoxication-only arrest go under 849(b)(2). A bond helps when a warrant or an added charge carries bail.
Four Simple Steps to Bail Out in Downtown Pomona
You can get someone out in four steps. Before step one, the Pre-Arraignment Release Protocol may have set release at zero bail, so an agent checks that first and tells you the result.
1
Contact Us With the Details
Call (888) 998-9511 with the person's name and date of birth, plus the jail and charge if you know them. If you do not know the jail, use our inmate search guide. Once we have those details, an agent starts work on the case.
2
Application and Approval
An agent reviews the charge and checks the county schedule for zero-dollar release. The agent then explains what a cosigner agrees to and how any collateral works. If a bond applies, you complete the application with the agent and ask questions before you sign.
3
Paperwork and Payment
Take 10% of the bail for the premium: $18,000 bail means $1,800. An 8% filed rate may apply to union members, veterans, active-duty military and clients of private attorneys. Clients who qualify can begin with a low down payment.
4
Posting and Release
After we post the bond, release follows the jail's own process. In our experience that takes about two to six hours, but posting and release stay in the jail's hands. Someone arrested east of the county line may go to West Valley Detention Center.

Common Questions About Bail Bonds in Downtown Pomona
How much do you need for a $50,000 bond?
A $50,000 bond carries a $5,000 premium at the standard 10% rate. Eligible clients may get an 8% filed rate, and a low down payment is possible for clients who qualify. Our bail bond cost page shows the math. The premium is non-refundable once paid, apart from two surrender exceptions.
What is the fastest way to get someone out of jail?
Call us with the name and jail as soon as you have them. We check whether bail exists, because the county releases many charges at zero dollars. If a bond applies, we start work. In our experience the release window is about two to six hours, and the jail controls posting and release.
What is the Pre-Arraignment Release Protocol?
The Superior Court's protocol, effective October 1, 2023, governs release for people arrested without a warrant. Cite and Release is a citation without booking, and Book and Release means booking first, both at zero bail. Magistrate Review, also zero bail, sends the case to a judge and is not release.
Can a bail bondsman say no?
Yes. A bail agent runs a licensed business and decides case by case which bonds to write. An agent may decline when it cannot verify the cosigner or when no bail exists to cover. If a bond is the wrong tool, we say so before you sign.
How long will a bail bondsman look for you?
If a defendant misses court without sufficient excuse, the judge declares the bond forfeited. Penal Code 1305 then gives the agent 180 days, plus five when the clerk mails notice, to return the defendant. A return or an appearance in that window lets the court vacate the forfeiture and exonerate the bond.
How to get out of paying a bail bond?
The premium is non-refundable when charges drop, with two surrender exceptions. 10 CCR 2090 makes an agent return it after a surrender before a court date, less limited costs it can justify. Penal Code 1300(b) lets the court return all or part of it if the surrender had no good cause.
Which Pomona ZIP codes do you serve?
We serve all of Pomona: ZIP codes 91766, 91767 and 91768. Pomona PD, City Hall and Pomona Courthouse South all carry 91766 addresses. We write bonds in Los Angeles County and San Bernardino County. Call us with the jail name and we take it from there.
