Why Families Trust Us With Pomona Misdemeanor Bail Bonds

A misdemeanor arrest can still mean a long night of calls and worry. We bring five habits from 20+ years in business and 867+ clients to each Pomona misdemeanor case.

Updates at Every Step

Before you sign, we explain the premium and what a cosigner owes. In our experience, release takes 2-6 hours after the jail accepts the bond. We phone you at each step.

Both Sides of the County Line

A San Bernardino County arrest can mean West Valley Detention Center, 9500 Etiwanda Ave in Rancho Cucamonga. We post bonds in both counties, and each keeps its own bail schedule (PC 1269b).

Respectful Contact With You and Your References

We keep court reminders and payment check-ins polite and short. The references you list are people you trust, and we treat them that way, with no pressure and no flood of calls.

Open 24/7, Holidays Included

Our line, (888) 998-9511, stays open around the clock, holidays included. If police book someone into Pomona City Jail on a holiday, we can start the bond paperwork that night.

A Real Person Picks Up

Day or night, a real person answers and checks the charge against the county schedule with you. For many misdemeanors, your relative needs no bond at all.

Common Pomona Misdemeanors and When They Need a Bond

We list each charge with its 2026 Los Angeles County schedule rating. Most ratings mean $0 bail under the Pre-Arraignment Release Protocol, so we also note which cases call for a bond.

Petty theft of $950 or less (PC 490.2) carries up to six months in jail and rates Cite and Release. Shoplifting (PC 459.5) rates Book and Release. A store theft citation in the past six months can mean custody (PC 853.6).

Battery means willful, unlawful force on another person (PC 242), punishable by up to six months in jail. The schedule rates simple battery Book and Release. Against a spouse or dating partner, battery under PC 243(e)(1) carries $20,000 bail instead.

A first no-injury DUI under Vehicle Code 23152 is a misdemeanor, and VC 23536 allows a jail term of 96 hours to six months. Its schedule rating is Book and Release: the driver goes through booking, then leaves on a promise to appear.

Driving on a suspended or revoked license breaks Vehicle Code 14601, 14601.1, 14601.2 or 14601.5, depending on the reason for the suspension. Each carries up to six months in jail for a first conviction and rates Cite and Release.

Trespass or Vandalism Under $400

Refusing to leave private property (PC 602(o)) and vandalism under $400 (PC 594(b)(2)(A)) both rate Cite and Release, though that vandalism carries up to a year in jail. With a prior vandalism conviction, it rates Book and Release.

The $0 ratings cover only warrantless arrests. A judge endorses bail on an arrest warrant (PC 815a), and missing court can trigger a bench warrant (PC 978.5). For Cite and Release charges, judges may follow a $1,000 to $5,000 guideline.

Some offenses can go either way under Penal Code 17, so if prosecutors file yours as a felony, see our felony bail bonds page.

Three Simple Steps to a Bail Bond

1

Initial Payment

Phone (888) 998-9511 whenever the arrest happens. Once you know the bail amount, you review and sign the agreement, then make a low down payment toward the standard 10% premium.

2

Customized Payment Plan

We split the remaining premium into a written payment schedule built around your budget. A long case adds no second premium, since California outlawed renewal premiums in 2022 (Penal Code 1276.1).

3

Securing Release

A licensed agent files the bond with the jail or station holding your relative. That facility sets its own release pace, and we keep your family posted until your relative walks out.

Areas We Serve

We write misdemeanor bail bonds Pomona-wide, in the 91766, 91767 and 91768 ZIP codes, and for arrests over the San Bernardino County line. Each neighborhood page adds local detail.

Misdemeanor Bail Bond FAQ

Unless another California law prescribes a different penalty, Penal Code 19 caps a misdemeanor sentence at six months in county jail, a $1,000 fine or both. Bail follows separate rules.

Only for money bail, which warrants and PC 1270.1 charges can carry. Before arraignment, most other misdemeanors rate Cite and Release or Book and Release, both $0. At arraignment, Penal Code 1270 entitles a misdemeanor defendant to release on their own recognizance, absent a judicial finding of public safety or appearance risk.

Your new charge gets a separate release decision, and the first bond can continue unless you miss court (PC 1305) or the agent surrenders you (PC 1300). A surrender before a court date means a premium refund, less limited costs if the agent proves a major rise in risk (10 CCR 2090).

For $1,000 in bail, you pay a $100 premium (the standard 10%); our bail bond cost guide covers bigger amounts. Our filed 8% rate, $80 on this bail, may apply instead if the client is a veteran, serves on active duty, belongs to a union or has retained a private lawyer.

A dismissal exonerates (cancels) the bail under Penal Code 1384. The court refunds cash bail to the defendant or to the relative who deposited it. The agency keeps the premium unless it surrenders your relative early; then 10 CCR 2090, or a judge acting under PC 1300(b), can require its return.

You often don't. If the Pre-Arraignment Release Protocol rates the charge Cite and Release or Book and Release, bail is $0. Magistrate Review, which also covers felony probationers and parolees, lets a magistrate free the person or keep them in custody until arraignment, and no bondsman can post anything in between.
